WP: many Republicans in Congress are in favor of the transfer of part of the territories of Ukraine to Russia

This is stated in an article in The Washington Post, citing a Gallup poll.

The author calls "the growing desire" of members of the Republican Party to hand over "part of Ukraine" to Russia as "most striking". 

The material notes that about half of Republican congressmen are in favor of such a decision.

It is also reported that more than half of the members of the Republican Party believe that the US authorities are doing "too much" for the Ukrainian authorities and oppose the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, The American Thinker columnist Robert Smith suggested that the US should focus on problems on its border with Mexico, and not continue to confront Russia in the Ukraine conflict.
