Since the end of the 19th century, the global average temperature has increased by almost one degree.

Here in Sweden, the increase is almost twice as large, 1.9 degrees.

At the same time, there are differences within Sweden and between seasons.

- The heating is greatest in the north and in winter, says Gustav Strandberg.

This can be seen, among other things, in the fact that the snow season is getting shorter.

Gustav Sandberg views the development with concern and believes that it will affect the entire society in a number of different ways.

- It is not just about the fact that it is nice to have snow, but there are more serious effects such as our health and that we may lack good drinking water and food, for example.

"Is there awareness"

What do you think needs to be done?

- We need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, that is the only way to slow down warming.

But we also have to realize that we will inevitably have another climate change and we have to adapt to it.

We must be prepared to be able to handle it.

Are there any flashes of light?

- Yes.

There is an awareness and our aim is to reduce our emissions and that is good.

In addition, the future climate is largely determined by future emissions, so this is something that we can still largely influence.
