• Serial rapist David 'El Bastardo': "I can kill you without leaving evidence"

David Carrick, the 48-year-old police officer accused of 85 "sexual crimes" (including several rapes of a dozen women),

has been sentenced to life in prison, with a "minimum" of 30 years in prison

.

The sentence has had a very serious impact on the reputation of Scotland Yard, months after the life sentence of another agent, author of the savage murder of the young executive Sarah Everard in London.

"You took monstrous advantage of your position as a police officer and used it as if you had exceptional powers to control and force your victims," Indian-born judge Parmjit Kaur Cheema-Grubb told the accused at the time of sentencing.

"You behaved as if you were untouchable, and for almost two decades you were."

Carrick, known as

Dave the Bastard

to his own peers, ultimately pleaded guilty to all 85 charges.

Some of the twelve victims were present in the room

;

others preferred to follow the outcome by closed circuit.

A sexual predator at Scotland Yard

The crimes with which he is charged occurred between 2003 and 2020, when he was a police officer.

He was admitted to Scotland Yard in 2001, after his stint in the army, and since 2009 he has been authorized to carry a pistol, as a member of the elite unit to protect diplomatic and political staff in Westminster.

Scotland Yard has admitted that he should never have been admitted as a police officer

and should have been disciplined and removed from the force after repeated complaints about his violent behavior and history of domestic abuse.

The first case dates back to 2003, although it was not reported until last fall by one of its victims.

Carrick used to intimidate them by claiming that no one was going to believe her testimony compared to that of a police officer.

The raping cop used to contact the women through dating apps, but also occasionally at nightclubs and "social events."

He called his victims "slaves"

, threatened to strangle them, controlled them financially and even urinated on them.

More than one was locked naked in the closet, the size of a doghouse, under the stairs at her home in Stevenage.

He even handcuffed another of hers and left her naked in the middle of the street at night.

Another of her was raped at gunpoint, as can be heard in her dramatic testimonies last Monday.

Also on the witness stand was Inspector Iain Moor, in charge of the internal investigation.

"Thanks to the courage of the victims, this prolific sex offender will end up behind bars," Moor said.

"He was never meant to wear the uniform and he is an embarrassment to our profession."
