As the parliamentarian noted, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2018-2027 was declared the Decade of Childhood.
The main goal of the plan approved by the government is the education of a harmoniously developed and socially responsible personality based on the spiritual and moral values of the peoples of Russia, historical and national cultural traditions.
At the same time, as Milonov emphasized, current toys and games, especially those made outside the country, often do not carry pedagogical and cultural values, and in some cases “distort children’s perception of Russian spiritual and moral values, plant and promote an alien culture and contribute to antisocial behavior. ".
The deputy recalled the developed draft federal law, which concerns the risks to the mental health of children from the use of games and toys, as well as the possibility of conducting an examination to identify them.
For example, the risks include cases when board games, toys depict and (or) describe the permissibility of actions that pose a threat to the life and health of children, as well as violence, cruelty towards people or animals.
In his opinion, the subject of the examination could also include the influence of toys on the patriotic and spiritual and moral education of the child, the formation of a destructive ideology and false values.
“We cannot allow the presence on the shelves of stores of children's goods and toys with the image of militaristic and other symbols glorifying NATO and other paramilitary organizations hostile to our country,” the RT interlocutor emphasized.
In addition, according to Milonov, it is necessary to consider the possibility of involving representatives of state budgetary institutions in the field of education, culture, physical culture and sports, representatives of relevant bodies of the State Duma, expert
and business communities in the examination.
“Given the high social significance and importance of the draft federal law, I ask you to express the position of the ministry on the proposals presented in this appeal,” the text says.
Earlier, Milonov called for the introduction of an insignia at the federal level for outstanding fathers of many children.
