It is protected amphibians and the protected lemon-spotted marsh dragonfly that now live in the area that need to be moved, and it is the county administration in Västra Götaland that is behind the decision.

The amphibians and dragonflies will now be moved to a nearby area where Volvo will create four new ponds for the animals.

Last year, Volvo Cars and Northvolt received a dispensation to move protected amphibians and reptiles when they planned to build their battery factory in Gothenburg.
