Recently, the extremely cold weather "frozen" the United States.

Affected by the Arctic air flow, the nighttime wind chill temperature recorded by the Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire was as low as minus 78 degrees Celsius, the lowest record since relevant records were kept in the United States.

Extremely cold weather led to large-scale power outages and road blockades in many places.

The arctic storm from eastern Canada brought record low temperatures to parts of New York state.

In Buffalo, New York, weather enthusiasts used a drone to take pictures of "ice pancakes" floating on Lake Erie.

In addition, Connecticut, Massachusetts and many other places set or reached record low temperatures on February 4.

In Boston, due to the relatively high internal temperature of sea water, the meeting of hot and cold caused a "steamy" scene on the water surface of Boston Harbor.

Under these conditions, skin can suffer from frostbite for as little as five minutes of exposure, the Weather Service warns.

However, the US National Weather Service estimates that this strong cold air is about to move out of most parts of the Northeast, and the temperature in many places will rise significantly.
