“In terms of the fact that biosecurity is a global security issue, and the lessons of the pandemic, the lessons of covid should have taught the whole world that the most devastating consequences that occur both in the economy and for each individual person can be irreversible if security issues will not be resolved transparently, collegially,” she said.

The commission on biolaboratories includes 14 deputies and 14 senators.

The commission's co-chairs are State Duma Vice Speaker Irina Yarovaya and Federation Council Deputy Chairman Konstantin Kosachev.
