Fuat Oktay, Vice President of Turkey, announced this.
“The airports of Kahramanmarash and Gaziantep are closed for civilian flights,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Oktay clarified that these airports only serve flights with assistance for those affected by the earthquake.
Turkey has previously declared the highest level of alert due to earthquakes.
According to the latest data, as a result of the earthquake in Turkey, 284 people were killed, 2323 were injured.
The Russian Embassy in Ankara said that so far there is no information about the Russians affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey.
