"Hangzhou is very lively during the Lantern Festival this year. The gorgeous fireworks and light show is staged by the Qiantang River. It is a feast for the eyes. I shared the photos and videos with my relatives and friends in Taiwan to celebrate the festival together." The reopening of the fireworks festival in 2011 made Zhou Tingying, a Taiwanese youth who is in charge of the exhibits of the museum team of the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee Office and a hobby of photography, very excited.

In her opinion, the art of light and shadow can connect the two sides of the strait, and the most beautiful thing in the world is reunion.

After the Spring Festival, there will be a Lantern Festival, and the New Year will not come out of the Lantern Festival.

Zhou Tingying said that in her hometown of Taipei, the atmosphere of the Lantern Festival is also very strong, with lantern festivals, sky lanterns, and prayers together.

"My father is from Taiwan, and my mother is from Hangzhou, so I am the crystallization of the beautiful love between the two sides. When I was a child, during the Lantern Festival in Taiwan, everyone would release sky lanterns together and write down their wishes or blessings for the new year on the sky lanterns. , and watch it rise into the night sky."

This year's Lantern Festival fireworks and light show in Hangzhou is full of elements of the Asian Games, which delights Zhou Tingying, who works in the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee.

In 2021, she just graduated from Boston University with a master's degree, and came to the mainland. She joined the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee through various selections and devoted herself to the preparations for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games (hereinafter referred to as the Hangzhou Asian Games).

The smooth holding of the Hangzhou Asian Games has become her biggest wish in the past two years.

"I am currently responsible for the design of the exhibition hall and the collection of exhibits of the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum. I am deeply honored to be able to participate in this international competition for the first time in my life." Zhou Tingying said. The Hangzhou Asian Games Museum has an exhibition area of 5,400 square meters. It has collected a lot of exhibits related to the Asian Games from 45 countries and regions that are members of the Olympic Council of Asia. It hopes to present the preparations for the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games vividly to domestic and foreign visitors. The whole picture, a panoramic display of the history and cultural imprints of the Asian Games for more than 70 years.

Not only that, but the background of overseas study and photography hobby gave Zhou Tingying more "useful space".

Previously, she also participated in the filming of the Hangzhou Asian Games documentary, leading the director team to conduct on-the-spot investigations in Hangzhou, focusing on the stories behind the Asian Games.

“I like to walk around the streets with my camera, especially in the streets and alleys, to feel the cultural atmosphere of Hangzhou. It has become a habit to record with a camera at any time. For me, images have surpassed the creation itself and become a connection. The most intuitive way of communication between the two sides of the strait. Using video as a medium, I can not only share with my relatives and friends in Taiwan at any time what I have learned about the mainland, but also enhance the understanding between young people on both sides of the strait and spread positive energy.” Zhou Tingying said.

In Zhou Tingying's view, in the process of promoting cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, light and shadow art and sports are more flexible.

"There are many young friends from Taiwan who live, study and work in Hangzhou like me. They are very much looking forward to the Asian Games that will be held at their doorstep this year. They often ask questions about the opening of venues and competitions. I I am happy to answer and hope that they can learn more about the openness and tolerance of Hangzhou and other co-host cities through the Asian Games.”

The Lantern Festival is here and the New Year is on the way.

Zhou Tingying also made a new year's wish on the same day, "I hope that friends at home and abroad can get together in Hangzhou to experience the charm of the Asian Games together; I hope that after the games, I can go back to Taiwan for a good vacation and reunite with my family and friends." (End)
