Mao Ning: We pay close attention to the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria, express our condolences to the victims of the disaster, and condolences to the families of the victims and the injured. We sincerely wish the people of Turkey and Syria to overcome the disaster and rebuild their beautiful homeland.

After the earthquake, the Chinese embassies and consulates in Turkey, Syria and other regions quickly activated the emergency response mechanism to verify and understand the situation of Chinese citizens affected by the disaster.

At present, we have not received any reports of casualties of Chinese citizens. Chinese embassies and consulates in relevant areas will continue to pay close attention to the earthquake disaster and do a good job in consular protection and assistance for local Chinese citizens.

We also take this opportunity to remind Chinese compatriots in Turkey and Syria to guard against secondary disasters caused by the earthquake.
