- China expresses strong dissatisfaction and protests against the US's use of force to attack unmanned airships, writes the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.
The ministry believes that the United States was repeatedly informed that the airship is for civilian use and that it entered the United States by mistake, which cannot be avoided.
- The US insists on using force, clearly overreacting and seriously violating international practice, the message says.
The country states that it will protect companies' "legitimate rights and interests" while reserving the right to take "further action".
Nothing new has been reported so far about the second Chinese balloon that was observed flying over South America on Friday.
