A 21-year-old man has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of an assault with a knife perpetrated inside a nightclub in
Vitoria
.
The suspect has caused injuries to three men and a woman after having a strong argument with them.
One of the victims is in
critical condition
after suffering several stab wounds to various parts of the body.
As reported by the
Basque Department of Security
, the event occurred at five past six this morning when a call alerted the Emergency Service of a fight between several people inside a nightclub in the capital of Alava.
During the incident, a man armed with a knife had injured four people, three men and one woman, and had subsequently fled the premises.
Several resources from the
Ertzaintza
and health personnel have gone to the place and have verified that one of the victims, a man, had several cuts on one arm and a serious wound in the abdomen.
Two other men and one woman also had cuts on one arm and on the fingers of one hand.
The most serious victim had to be evacuated to
the Txagorritxu Hospital
, where he is in critical condition, and the rest of the victims to
the Santiago de Vitoria-Gasteiz Hospital
.
While health personnel took care of the wounded, the Ertzaintza began the search for the alleged attacker, who was arrested shortly after.
The 21-year-old suspect has been arrested on charges
of attempted murder and injury
, and transferred to police stations to carry out the corresponding proceedings.
