China News Agency, Hong Kong, February 4th. The Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 4th that the daily limit on the number of tickets available for sale on the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link will be lifted from the 6th.

Relevant departments are actively coordinating and negotiating, hoping to gradually and orderly restart high-speed rail long-distance services as soon as possible.

The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Lin Shixiong, said in his blog that day that he recommended citizens to use the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Port, where the "customs clearance" service for passenger transport began for the first time.

It is the eighth land border control point connecting Hong Kong and the Mainland, designed and built according to the concept of "direct access for people and vehicles".

Cross-border bus operators are actively preparing to launch routes to allow passengers to travel directly between Shenzhen and Hong Kong via this new port.

Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-border private cars with regular quotas at Liantang/Xiang Yuen Wai Port can also use this port for "customs clearance".

Lin Shixiong mentioned that some projects at Luohu Port may affect the waiting time for customs clearance.

MTR has been notified to prepare for the re-opening of Luo Wu Station to serve cross-boundary passengers, closely monitor the flow of people and the actual situation at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau Boundary Control Points, and implement passenger management measures and adjust frequency as necessary.

Lin Shixiong said that he believes that the comprehensive "customs clearance" will attract more people to travel between the two places, and promote two-way exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong in economic, social and cultural aspects.
