It was around 10.30pm that the police were called to a residence in Karlskoga.
- A man in his 25s is said to have abused a man in his 30s with some form of affection, says Christina Hallin, spokesperson for the Bergslagen police region.
According to the police, the beaten man was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, but had no life-threatening injuries.
Reclassified after questioning
The 25-year-old man was arrested on the spot.
Initially, he was suspected of serious assault, but after questioning it was changed to attempted murder.
The home is cordoned off for a crime scene investigation.
