It is being fully built on what was once the Eastern Hospital in Malmö.

40 people will live in the collective house in 13 apartments and 7 corridor rooms.

Here, the elderly, families with children and students will live under the same roof and share a large kitchen and many common areas.

- I have wanted to live like this for a very long time and it was possible when you were a student.

Here the idea is that we should get the best of both worlds.

You have an ordinary apartment, but you still have the large kitchen that you can be in when you want company, says Ludvig Haav, who is an architect and project manager.

Everything has been torn out

All the old ventilation, electricity and water have been torn out and now the major work is underway to fix the walls, ceiling, floor and interior of 1,700 square meters.

The move-in begins at the end of February/March.

- Now there is a month left until we move in and we have so much to do and a challenging schedule and budget, and it is not the easiest, says Ludvig Haav.

The SVT program Husdrömmar films the construction project and will broadcast the program next season.
