The final of the Lausanne International Ballet Competition in Switzerland, which is known as a gateway to success for young ballet dancers around the world, was held, and Keisuke Miyazaki, a third-year junior high school student from Osaka Prefecture, won the 8th place.

This time, the 50th anniversary of the competition's beginning in 1973, the final was held on the 4th with 22 participants, and they performed in two subjects: classical and contemporary.



In the final, Keisuke Miyazaki (15), a third-year junior high school student from Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture, came in eighth out of four Japanese.



Mr. Miyazaki, who danced to a passage from "Swan Lake" in a classical task, showed a majestic performance that combines gracefulness and dynamism, and received a big round of applause from the audience.



After the awards ceremony, Mr. Miyazaki said, "This is going to be an experience that I will never forget. Even though he was the youngest, he was able to show off his strengths. I want to continue making the most of it."



In addition, two male dancers from Spain and Mexico tied for 1st place, sharing the 1st place for the first time in history.
