“The tank crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine quickly mastered the operation of the Challenger 2 this week,” the ministry said in a Twitter statement.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that British instructors this week began to train the Ukrainian military to operate Challenger 2 tanks.

He also did not rule out that London could transfer fighter jets to Kyiv.

Columnist Lara Jakes, in an article for The New York Times, expressed the opinion that the weapons that Western countries are sending to Ukraine are unlikely to help Kyiv due to the long delivery times, as well as training in the use of equipment.
