According to Tsekov, there is nothing new in these statements, the proposals sound in the same direction as before - to tighten sanctions, help Ukraine, arm it. 

He also noted that all statements are only about "how to defeat Russia, how to destroy it, undermine it from the inside."

At the same time, there are no talks on the subject of ending the conflict, the parliamentarian noted.

“A citizen of a state that is clearly a terrorist speaks about declaring Russia a sponsor of terrorism,” the senator concluded.

Earlier in an op-ed for Foreign Affairs magazine, McFaul said it was necessary to tighten sanctions against Russia and declare it a "state sponsor of terrorism."
