The US Secretary of State drew attention to the statement of Beijing, which expressed regret over the situation.

At the same time, Blinken called the situation "an irresponsible act and a clear violation of US sovereignty and international law."

Earlier, US President Joe Biden agreed with the proposal of the military not to shoot down a Chinese balloon found in the United States.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry explained that the balloon did indeed come from China, but it is used for scientific research.
