instructed to initiate a criminal case against officials of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine in connection with the illegal decision to bring charges against the founder of one of the Telegram channels, Semyon Pegov," the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement.
The investigation within the framework of the case will establish officials of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office involved in the decision to bring the Russian to justice.
Earlier it became known that the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine indicted war correspondent and head of the WarGonzo project Semyon Pegov in absentia.
Prior to this, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on sanctions against 198 people.
Among them was war correspondent Semyon Pegov.
