It was around 11 p.m. last night that the Rescue Service went to an alarm in Mariannelund when an apartment in a multi-family building had started to burn.
The emergency services were able to extinguish the fire, but smoke had spread to seven apartments.
Several of them had to be evacuated and the people in them had to go to Folkets hus to have somewhere to warm themselves.
There was no one in the apartment that caught fire and no one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unclear.
