On January 27, units of the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade and the 68th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack the positions of Russian troops in the Pavlovka area.

With the help of the Russian Orlan-30 drone, a Ukrainian convoy of MaxxPro and Humvee armored vehicles was detected on the road between Prechistovka and Pavlovka and covered with fire from Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled guns.

According to RT, after hitting a convoy from the area of the South Donbass mine No. 1 towards Pavlovka, units of the 23rd separate rifle battalion, as well as the 12th separate motorized infantry battalion "Kyiv" of the 72nd brigade of Ukrainian troops, tried to break through.

A week before, both formations were reinforced by mobilized from the western regions of Ukraine - Vinnitsa, Lvov, Ternopil and Khmelnitsky, who had no combat experience and did not serve in the army.

The military of these units was discovered by the Orlan-10 drone between the sewage treatment plant northwest of Pavlovka and mine No. 1.

As a result, they were attacked with the help of Gvozdika self-propelled guns of 122 mm caliber.

The mobilized were cut off from the main forces and were abandoned by regular soldiers of the 23rd and 12th battalions, who retreated to their original positions.

As a result of the clash, at least 50 mobilized Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed, and several dozen more were injured.
