There are many sports and sports practitioners in Storfors who have been looking forward to the new arena.

Among the sports that are getting a real boost are table tennis and shooting.

- The table tennis can move up from the basement of the municipal building to its own hall, and the shooting associations get the very latest technology, says Bengt Engborg, treasurer of Storfors Idrottsallians when he shows around the new halls.

Unclear how the budget will come together

In total, the construction has cost SEK 22.5 million, compared to the budgeted SEK 20 million, but there is more to worry about.

On the one hand, they have not received the contributions they had hoped for, including from the General Heritage Fund, and on the other hand, both the interest rate and electricity prices are significantly higher than when the construction was planned.

- It is very worrying.

We'll see if it works out, says Bengt Engborg.

At the same time, he is proud of the new opportunities that the arena construction gives the residents of Storfors.

- Nothing is certain in today's situation.

Sometimes you have to take a little chance, he says.
