Fish prices also decreased in varying proportions, to return to their normal rate after their rise as a result of their scarcity during the last period, as the net price of “from” (equivalent to four kilograms) during the depression reached 190 dirhams, while it does not exceed 120 dirhams currently, and the price of “from” grouper reached 200. dirhams during the cessation of the fishing movement, to reach 120 dirhams now.

The fishermen of the eastern region stopped for more than four consecutive days, due to bad weather, heavy rains, strong winds, and high seas.

"The fishermen of the eastern region stopped for a week during the previous period, and fishing trips resumed the day before yesterday, which means the availability of fish in the local markets gradually until it is fully returned in the coming days," said Ibrahim Youssef (former head of the Kalba Fishermen's Association).

He pointed out that the fishermen who owned lyakhs, garaqirs and strings returned from their first trip after the interruption of their fishing trips, carrying large quantities of horse fish, kufr, shaari, al-sal and others.

While the fisherman, Saeed Al Zaabi, confirmed that the local markets witnessed, yesterday, a recovery and influx of large quantities of local fish, with an active movement of the purchase process from consumers, pointing out that the prices of local fish decreased significantly, compared to the days when the fishing movement stopped, expecting that Prices will drop further in the coming period.

He mentioned that the eastern region and the Emirate of Fujairah witnessed during the past week unstable weather conditions, which posed a danger to fishermen and their boats, which necessitated them to stop fishing, which directly affected the markets, and led to a shortage of fish supply and an increase in its prices.

An Asian fishing worker working for one of the fishermen of the Emirate of Fujairah, Zainuddin, said: "The fishing boats or equipment did not witness any significant material damage, and the workers took the measures followed by the Fujairah Fishermen Association to preserve our safety and the safety of our equipment." The region witnesses it from time to time, bringing large and diverse numbers of fish to the waters of the Fujairah Sea, which the fishermen rejoice in, despite the losses they suffered from stopping fishing trips for four consecutive days.

An Asian seller in the fish market in the Emirate of Fujairah, Hussain Muhammad, said that fresh fish has filled the tables of merchants inside the markets with its abundance and a decline in its prices, after it rose during the past days, as a result of the lack of supply and the high demand for it by citizens and residents in the region. Al-Sharqiya, stressing the availability of multiple types of fish such as cooper, grouper, seabream, seabass, shrimp and other fish in abundant numbers.
