The ERC and PSC budgets will serve to reinforce the already robust sovereignist framework that, year after year, finances the coffers of the Generalitat.

The

president

, Pere Aragonès, has underlined after the pact with the Socialists that his separatist desire continues intact.

"Catalonia is faced with the possibility of fighting to vote for its future", he has stated to deny that the alliance with the Socialists implies the end of the

process

.

The items included in the budget prove it.

The Foreign Action of the Generalitat, which continues to focus on spreading the secessionist story internationally, will absorb 108 million euros for the 98 of the 2022 accounts. That is, it will grow by more than 10%.

The Generalitat admits in its budget project that its objective is to "reinforce and consolidate the network of delegations abroad", despite the fact that one of the conditions of the PSC to support the budgets was to freeze the opening of those colloquially known as

embassies

.

This condition has finally been ignored by the Republicans, the Socialists have accepted it, and the Government is preparing to "plan new openings."

Spending on "promotion of the Catalan language" will increase by 25.5%, going from 47 to 59 million euros.

In this way, ERC reinforces one of the pillars of its nationalist policy while continuing to pursue Spanish in all spheres and especially in schools, where linguistic immersion continues to prevail.

The Catalan public media will also see their budget significantly increased to act as speakers for the pro-independence action of the Government.

336 million euros will be dedicated to the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation -the entity that manages TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio-, compared to 284 last year, that is, 18% more.

The already hypertrophied structure of entities dependent on the Generaliat (foundations, consortiums, commercial companies...) also remains intact, and even grows.

The 206 entities linked to the autonomous Administration will absorb 4,334 million of the budget for the 4,030 that absorbed in 2022 the 205 that then existed, which represents an increase of 7.5%.

The Government has committed to the PSC to "study" a 10% decrease in these organizations in future budgets.

While it does so, one of them, the Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies (CTTI), involved in the 1-O census, will be showered with 845 million euros, 18% more.

The Generalitat's budget, which will be definitively approved in Parliament on March 10, is the most expansive in history, with 41,025 million euros of spending, despite the "cooling of the economy", as recognized by the Government.

Of these, 1,186 million will come from European funds.
