It was when the injuries on the football field came that he was increasingly drawn into the criminal world.

- I had built my whole life around being the footballer Haddad and not built an identity around being myself, he says.

Dropped out when he became a father

The same day his son was born, he left the criminal life behind.

Andreas Haddad has written a book about his double life as an injured soccer player and criminal.

In recent years, he has traveled around Sweden and lectured to young people.

He hopes to inspire others not to choose the same path he chose.

- We have to talk more about exclusion, already at a young age you have to be able to identify it, says Andreas Haddad.
