Firefighters from the Perilous Environment Reconnaissance and Intervention Group (Grimp) intervened this Wednesday on a crane installed in the Hauts-de-Saint-Aubin district in Angers (Maine-et-Loire).

Rescuers were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. to assist a 20-year-old young woman who had climbed the machine, says

Le Courrier de l'Ouest

.

She was at a height of about 40 m and claimed to want to throw herself into the void.

The rescue operation lasted more than an hour and a half.

In addition to the fifteen firefighters dispatched to the scene, the police and officials from the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) took part in the operation.

The speakers set up a scale.

At the same time, they spoke with the young woman to prevent her from ending her life.

This exchange ended up bearing fruit since the desperate woman made the decision to come down from the crane alone.

Healthy and sauce, she was then taken to the University Hospital of Angers.
