China News Service, Beijing, February 2 (Xie Yanbing) Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning presided over a regular press conference on February 2.

A reporter asked: The United States has started to detain imported aluminum products suspected of being made through "forced labor", especially aluminum products from China's Xinjiang region. What is China's comment on this?

Mao Ning: The United States uses "forced labor" in Xinjiang, which does not exist at all, as an excuse to politicize normal economic and trade cooperation, illegally detain relevant products, violate international trade rules, undermine the stability of the international production and supply chain, and ultimately harm the interests of the United States.

We urge the United States to stop its unreasonable suppression of Chinese companies, and China will take necessary measures to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.

Another reporter asked a question about a Xinjiang-related motion in Canada.

Mao Ning responded: At present, the social security and stability in Xinjiang is stable, the development continues to improve, the people live and work in peace and contentment, and the human rights protection level of people of all ethnic groups is constantly improving.

We urge the Canadian side to respect the truth, stop political manipulation with ulterior motives on Xinjiang-related issues, and stop spreading false information.
