In Italy, they said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to put into operation the SAMP-T air defense system within seven to eight weeks

It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Rai Italia TV channel.

“I think that air defense protection will be operational on the territory of Ukraine within a few, seven to eight weeks,” Tajani said.

It is noted that Italy is going to provide an air defense system to Kyiv together with France.

Earlier, Italy announced that it would not send tanks to Ukraine.

It was also reported that Italy and France intend to purchase Aster-30 air defense missiles for Ukraine.
