First of all, as the specialist noted, deliveries, sales and production volumes depend on the harvest.

“If there is a good harvest, naturally, all these indicators increase.

Last year, especially in crop production, there was a very good yield.

For grain, we have reached a record - somewhere in the region of 150 million tons, and we conditionally need only 90-95 million tons for consumption within Russia in order to provide for the population, put it in stocks and for livestock feed.

Naturally, export deliveries are increasing,” Ostapkovich explained.

Also, according to the expert, last year was good "in terms of weather conditions."

As for next year, the RT interlocutor stressed that the harvest would be sufficient for the domestic market.

Earlier it became known that the supply of Russian food abroad in 2022 increased by almost 12%.

It is specified that more than 70 million tons of domestic agricultural products and food were sent to foreign markets.

The leading regions in terms of the increase in the cost contribution of exports to the all-Russian indicator are the Volgograd Region, Primorsky and Kamchatka Territories.
