A serious work accident occurred late Thursday morning on an office construction site at 11, rue du Chêne Germain in Cesson-Sévigné near Rennes, we learned from the firefighters.
Around 11:30 a.m., a worker working on the site found himself buried up to his chest in a pile of earth and rubble.
His colleagues immediately rescued him and managed to extract him before help arrived.
The 42-year-old victim was seriously injured and rushed to hospital.
However, his vital prognosis is not engaged.
Twenty-six firefighters were mobilized for this intervention, including a rescue-clearance team.
