A draft law on the disciplinary arrest of warrant officers and sergeants was submitted to the State Duma

It is reported by TASS with reference to the database of the State Duma.

The corresponding bill was submitted for consideration by the head of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov and his first deputy Andrei Krasov.

This document should enshrine in the law "On the status of military personnel" a norm according to which the commanders of a military unit during the period of mobilization and martial law will have the right to impose a disciplinary arrest on warrant officers and sergeants.

Also, such an arrest can be assigned to midshipmen, foremen, soldiers and sailors undergoing military service under a contract, and citizens called up for military service by mobilization, with the exception of officers.

The right to impose a disciplinary arrest will also be assigned to the head of the military police. 

Earlier, the LNR announced additional support measures for participants in the special operation.
