A first part of the mandate which does not appeal to the Lyonnais.

According to an Ipsos poll, carried out for the LyonMag site (very often critical of the municipality) and published on Wednesday, two thirds of the inhabitants say they are "dissatisfied" with the action carried out by Grégory Doucet, the EELV mayor of Lyon.

More precisely 67%.

Between January 9 and 12, 1,082 people were polled on the Internet to find out their opinions.

Among them, only 19% consider themselves "satisfied" - mainly environmentalists - and 14% did not express an opinion.

The left not completely convinced

If, unsurprisingly, right-wing voters rail overwhelmingly against the action taken by the municipality (95% dissatisfied with the LRs, 81% with the RN and 75% with LREM), left-wing voters are not convinced for as much.

Only 26% of socialist supporters approve of the policy, while more than half (53%) say they are "dissatisfied".

In the ranks of La France insoumise, opinions are more clear-cut: 36% of voters are "satisfied" while 37% are not.

Finally, 67% of environmentalists are enthusiastic.

As a result, one in four respondents (26%) would like Grégory Doucet – who made no secret of his desire to run again in 2026 – to return for a second term, while 46% are fiercely opposed to this idea.

Here again, opinions are very divided among left-wing sympathizers since the survey reveals that just over half of them (54%) want to renew the elected official at City Hall.

Actions in terms of cultural life and revegetation welcomed

With regard to the indicators, although the people of Lyon generally appreciate the quality of life in the city (73%), two thirds - including 44% of voters on the left - believe, on the other hand, that it has "definitely deteriorated" during "the last three years”.

At issue: security, parking, traffic and cleanliness.

The mayor of Lyon who "benefits from a very good reputation" will nevertheless be able to console himself by observing that his actions in favor of cultural life are approved by 65% of those polled.

And that 61% of Lyonnais positively appreciate the revegetation operations.
