The weather will be sunny this Thursday over the entire southern part of the country while the sky looks quite gray and overcast over the rest of France.

On the temperature side, the mercury will be slightly above normal for the season and will rise to 16 degrees near the Mediterranean.

The weather Thursday will remain sunny from the Pyrenees around the Mediterranean and from the Alps to the Rhone Valley, but at the cost of a strong wind on the Gulf of Lion, according to forecasts by Météo-France.

The tramuntana will blow between 60 and 70 km/h.

The Mistral will be a little stronger with gusts between 70 and 80 km/h, even 90 km/h.

A weakly disturbed area coming from Germany will bring precipitation on the North-East borders and the Grand Est region.

The sky will remain gray and overcast all day and it will snow on the reliefs of the Vosges from an altitude of 700 m.

In Brittany, Normandy and Hauts-de-France, the weather will remain dry.

Some morning mists will still be present, then during the day the sky will alternate between cloudy periods and sunny spells.

Beautiful sunny spells south of the Garonne

On the rest of the country, many banks of morning fog will be present in the plains of the South-West and Center-Val-De-Loire.

After their more or less rapid dissipation, the sky will remain gray and overcast.

We can hope for good clearings south of the Garonne in the afternoon.

The frosts will be confined to the reliefs, while it will be between 1 and 6 degrees in the plain, and up to 8 degrees on the Channel coasts and around Corsica.

In the afternoon, the thermometer will climb towards 9 to 12 degrees over a large western half of the country, 5 to 7 degrees from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in the Grand-Est, and 13 to 16 degrees near the Mediterranean.
