Combat experience has shown that these tanks can be destroyed even with the help of old portable anti-tank missile systems, which are significantly inferior in terms of characteristics to the weapons in service with the Russian army, including such as Kornet anti-tank missile systems, the state corporation told TASS.
It is noted that the Leopard, unlike Russian tanks, does not have dynamic protection, and therefore they have nothing to oppose to the Russian Whirlwind and Ataka missiles.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that as part of the first wave of assistance, the Ukrainian army would receive 120-140 Western-made tanks.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that the idea of supplying Ukraine with American Abrams and German Leopard tanks was a failure for technological reasons.
