The singer explains in this message that he had four years ago "a serious accident", a fall at his home in Los Angeles during which he "damaged his spine".

Despite the operations and treatments he has undergone, his body is "still physically weak".

"This is probably one of the hardest things I've had to share with my loyal fans," writes Ozzy Osbourne.

"I never imagined that my touring days would end like this".

The only note of hope in this sad message, the singer explains that his team "is finding ideas to know" where he could perform without having to "move from town to town and from country to country".

Former leader of the Black Sabbath, Ozbourne was fired from that group in 1979. He then launched a successful solo career.

He also gained some notoriety through his behavior, such as biting off the head of a live bat during a performance in 1982.
