The goal is to increase recruitment to home care and make it more attractive.

The project will last for one year at the Åkerbohemmet in Löttorp.

Cecilia Laneborg Johnsson, who is a safety representative for the union Kommunal at Åkerbohemmet, is one of those who will work less.

She also sees an opportunity to earn more money by working overtime.

Hope the job will become more attractive

- Borgholm has previously had difficulties recruiting staff due to our remote location, but the decision on 85 percent working time with full-time pay has made the town more attractive, says Anna Hasselbom Trofast, head of social affairs in Borgholm's municipality to SVT Småland.

Hear more about what Cecilia thinks about the project in the clip above.

The same model has already been introduced in one of Mörbylånga municipality's nursing homes.
