In the appeal, the legislator noted that over the past years, the federal authorities have been implementing initiatives aimed at creating measures for additional support for citizens living in the Far East or wishing to move to this region.

Currently, the legislation provides for tax deductions for the purchase of residential property.

Each citizen once when buying an apartment or house has the right to return 13% of the funds spent on the purchase of housing, but from an amount not exceeding 2 million rubles.

In the case of interest on a mortgage loan, a similar tax deduction can be applied to amounts up to 3 million rubles, Fedorov noted.

"In this regard, I ask you to consider the advisability of doubling the amount of tax deduction - up to 4 and 6 million rubles, respectively - for citizens purchasing residential real estate within the Far Eastern Federal District," the text of the appeal reads.

Earlier it became known about the expansion of preferential mortgages for IT-specialists.
