After serious mismanagement, the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo) has decided to withdraw Humana's license to conduct assistance activities and home care.

The background to the decision is recurring shortcomings in the business and on February 10 the business must be finished.

In Östergötland and on Gotland, roughly 100 people receive assistance from Humana, and the company has roughly 600 employees in the area.

The largest operation is in Linköping, where between 25-30 users receive personal assistance from Humana.

- If what IVO writes that they discovered, then there are extremely serious flaws. We want to be able to trust the contractors that the municipality has, that they conduct their business in the right way and that you can deliver the care you have promised, says Annika Krutzén (M ), chairman of the Social and Care Board in Linköping.

The situation in Norrköping

In Norrköping, the situation is not as critical because there are only 14 people who chose Humana for personal assistance and thus have to change providers before February 10.

- It is a serious situation for the individual who needs to change and feels worried based on it.

But if the 14 people choose to receive assistance from the municipality, it is no problem for us to cover up, says Magnus Johansson, director of care and social care Norrköping municipality.
