The press service said that the information that appeared in Telegram channels that buyers of the marketplace are forced to pay the cost of shipping defective goods is not true, RIA Novosti reports.

As explained in Wildberries, when a manufacturing defect is detected, the buyer creates an application for checking the goods.

The application is checked by the seller of this product.

The message says that the cost of return shipping will be reimbursed by the seller in the future.

“If the seller commits a violation, then the buyer can write an appeal to the support service,” the company said.

In August 2022, Wildberries confirmed the introduction of a fee in the amount of 1,000 rubles for the return of goods requiring special transportation conditions, which include fragile and bulky items.
