The statement said that the members of the Security Council stressed the need to "bring to justice the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of this terrorist act."
They called on all countries, in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, to actively cooperate with the Government of Pakistan and all other relevant authorities on this issue.
Earlier it became known that at least 72 people were killed due to an explosion in a mosque in the city of Peshawar in Pakistan.
Another 150 people were injured.
