According to RIA Novosti, a $49.98 million lawsuit was filed against Woodward himself, who interviewed Trump for a paper book, as well as his publishers, Simon & Schuster and Paramount Global.

The lawsuit says that during the interview, Trump repeatedly told Woodward in the presence of others that he agreed to speak on the record for the sole purpose of “so that Woodward can write a single book.”

According to the ex-president of the United States, he suffered material damage without receiving any monetary deductions from the audiobook.
