  According to the report of "Hebei Daily" and the news of Hebei Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, the nine-story temple and its auxiliary buildings are located in the core area of ​​the World Cultural Heritage in Durbar Square, Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It was built from the 17th to the 18th century. The area is 1,300 square meters, and the building area is 5,600 square meters.

  On April 25, 2015, a major earthquake occurred in Nepal, causing serious damage to the nine-story temple complex.

After consultations between China and Nepal, the Chinese government undertook the post-earthquake restoration project of the nine-story temple in Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal. This project is China's first large-scale foreign aid project for cultural relics in Nepal.

  Entrusted by the International Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China, the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Ancient Architecture Conservation is responsible for the management of the nine-storey temple restoration project, and the Chinese Cultural Heritage Research Institute is responsible for the project implementation.

The project was officially implemented in November 2017, and the maintenance of the nine-story temple building will be completed by September 2022.

  In the next step, the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Ancient Building Protection will continue to do a good job in the management of security, fire protection, lightning protection, and display and utilization projects for the nine-story temple in the later stage.
