Steffen Hallaschka, who has presented "stern TV" for twelve years, has extended his contract with RTL by several years.

In addition to the moderation of "stern TV" and "stern TV Spezials", the agreement also includes other projects for various offers of the group.

Stephan Schmitter, Managing Director Programs at RTL Germany, praises Hallaschka's journalistic flair and great empathy.

Hallaschka himself calls "stern TV" one of "the few beacons, because the program stands for orientation and entertainment in equal measure".

In addition to "stern TV", he moderated the Spiegel TV documentary on VOX in April 2015 about the end of the war in 1945 and in 2021 the RTL special "Attack on our Children".

Steffen Hallaschka studied European ethnology in Frankfurt and Berlin.

In 1993, when he was only twenty-one, he joined the youth program of the Hessischer Rundfunk (“Radio unstyled”).

He later switched to Radio Fritz in Berlin, and from 2004 to 2008 he was a presenter on Radio Eins.

Steffen Hallaschka made the step to television in 1996 when he moderated the program “100 Grad” on Deutsche Welle-TV and ORB.

This was followed by moderation of programs for third-party programs from ARD, 3Sat and Arte, as well as for private broadcasters.

From 2006 to 2010 he moderated the weekly consumer magazine "Markt" on NDR television.

Steffen Hallaschka was nominated for the Grimme Prize in 2004 for his moderation of the WDR political show "Kanzlerbungalow".
