All first-year students at Parkskolan, about 200 people, were invited to Elin Ribjer's lecture on Tuesday.

In order for the students to be able to interact during the lecture and ask questions anonymously, Elin Ribjer had ensured that the audience could use the question app Menti.

Something that was grossly abused by some of the participating students.

Derogatory and grossly offensive comments both about Elin Ribjer and other students at the school were posted.

- Someone thought I could be raped, Elin Ribjer tells SVT.

Information for parents

Hear her story in the clip above, where Örnsköldsvik's high school's director of operations Andreas K Johansson also comments on what happened.

On Tuesday afternoon, Parkskolan's management informed the plaintiffs of the first-year students about what had happened:

"During today's lecture for year 1 by Elin Ribjer about violence in intimate relationships, serious violations were posted when using the question app Menti.

This is completely unacceptable and the school will look into this.

Police reports will also be made.

We wish that you guardians talk to your young people about the experience of the lecture and what happened at Menti.

If you have any questions or information, please get in touch.
