According to him, Moscow is watching Western discussions about the continuation of arms supplies to Ukraine.
He noted that Russia is taking measures to stop attempts to make Ukraine an even more acute threat to its security.
“Our Armed Forces, the command of the special military operation are taking all necessary measures to prevent the plans of the West from coming true.
And they will not come true,” Lavrov said at a press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri.
Earlier, Lavrov said that an almost real war is being waged between Russia and the West.
The American newspaper Politico wrote that the continuation of Russia's special operation in Ukraine in 2023 will be a new difficult test for Western countries, as well as for those red lines that they have set for themselves regarding the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army.
