“Ukrainian troops appear to have widely scattered landmines in the Izyum area, causing civilian deaths and constant risk,” HRW said in a statement.

It is noted that the organization conducted a study of the use of these mines in Izyum from September 19 to October 9, 2022.

More than 100 people were interviewed, including witnesses, victims, rescuers.

The organization confirmed the death of 11 civilians.
