The Democratic Party for the People has submitted a bill to the House of Councillors that includes the abolition of income limits on public benefits that support child-rearing, such as child allowances.

The bill states that all children, who will be responsible for the next generation, should not be restricted from benefits due to their family's financial situation.

On top of that, all income restrictions on public benefits that support child-rearing, such as child allowances, will be abolished, and the government must take necessary legislative and financial measures.

This is the third time that the Democratic Party for the People has submitted such a bill to the Diet, following last year's ordinary Diet session and the autumn extraordinary Diet session.

After submitting the proposal, Chairman of the House of Councilors Mr. Funayama told reporters that the Liberal Democratic Party's Secretary-General Motegi had proposed that income restrictions on child allowances should be abolished. There were criticisms such as 'distribution' for the benefits of none, but since we were on the same playing field, we would like to move toward realization."
