Three siblings, aged 2, 3 and 6, died in their sleep, as a result of a strong fire that swept through their home in the fifth sector of the Romanian capital, Bucharest, while their mother was shocked and stunned by the tragedy that befell her.
Romanian media, including B1, reported that the first information indicates that the fire broke out in the area of the bed on which the three children were sleeping, and their mother may have placed a heat source next to them to warm them during the cold weather, but this source may have caused the fire to break out.
For her part, the mother of the three children is shocked and is currently living difficult times under medical care, and one of her relatives said that the shocked mother was put in a police car so that she would not see the process of removing the children from the house after their death.
"Their mother is in shock, you can tell she doesn't know what she's saying, she's screaming and rolling over as if she's torturing herself," he added, according to what was reported by the "Antina" website.
He pointed out that the woman was living with her children alone in their rented house, while the father was not present because he was in Germany, where he worked in order to provide for their living expenses.
While the Romanian authorities are trying to determine the exact cause of the fire, the bodies of the children were transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in preparation for their burial later.
