Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov expects that a new history textbook with a section on a special military operation may appear in Russian schools from the next academic year.

“The textbook will be ready for senior classes in March.

I hope that from the next academic year it will be possible to use it in schools,” Kravtsov said, answering the question of Dmitry Lutovinov, winner of the Russian Teacher of the Year 2022 contest, after the lecture “On the Development of a Sovereign National Education System.”

According to him, in the textbook being developed, the causes and objectives of the military special operation will be set out in detail.

He also recalled that the program of the course on history already has a section on the goals and objectives of the military special operation.

Children in Russia should know the history of their country and the events that are happening now, Irina Volynets, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, founder of the National Parents' Committee, said in a conversation with RT.

“It is very important that we have heroes during the current operation, there are events that our children should know.

These are our contemporaries, and children should take an example from them.

We have many famous personalities, heroes in the past, but I believe that there is some gap in giving well-deserved honors to those heroes who are the heroes of our time, the heroes of our time.

This is the true education of patriotism: through the history of your country, through its life, its heroes, through those who today sacrifice themselves for the sake of their Motherland, ”she emphasized.

“In the center of historical education, Russia should become the supporting rod”

In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin, following a meeting with historians and representatives of traditional religions, instructed to work out the issue of combining the "History of Russia" and "General History" courses for schoolchildren.

The head of state also called for the development of mechanisms to popularize modern scientific knowledge among the youth, primarily related to the history of Russia.

“History is generally important for any nation, especially at some difficult turns in the life of the state.

For us, just such a moment has come when we must be very attentive to history and to the formation of public consciousness on the basis of reliable historical data, and everything is formed, of course, from school, ”Putin noted at a meeting of the HRC.

As the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov noted, the educational module “Introduction to the Modern History of Russia” prepared for the ninth grades will include important milestones in the country's history, including information about the NWO and the admission of new regions to the Russian Federation.

“Previously, the study of history at school was dominated by a Eurocentric approach, but the unification of the subjects “General History” and “History of Russia” should correct this bias, and Russia should become the center of historical education,” he said.

At the same time, the working group to create a new school textbook on history was headed by Vladimir Medinsky, assistant to the President of Russia.

The Ministry of Education also intends to involve members of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the development of an educational manual.

The textbook is expected to take about a year to complete and all copyright will be owned by the state.

We are talking about creating a line of publications for the fifth and sixth grades.

As Kravtsov said, the textbook will be written taking into account the latest historical events that took place in 2022, such as the beginning of the NWO, the entry into the Russian Federation of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and sanctions pressure from the West.

“These facts will be reflected in the new textbook,” the minister emphasized.
